Hello Team 26,

Here is the link for one of the web sites Miss Bryant showed us this week:
http://www.boolify.org/

Can you make a search that is so specific that you only get one site to look at?

Post your search on your wikipage then see if anyone else completes the challenge and check their search.

Good luck!

Miss Ellis

Term 3

Hi All,

While I have been home sick with a nasty cold I haven't stop thinking which of the products we tested did the best job of keeping the bacterium away. If any of you are on wiki spaces over the weekend can you please make a comment on the home page.

See you all on Monday.

Miss Ellis

Hi All,

We are investigating antibacterial products. One of our groups has created a survey to discover more about the consumer... YOU! Please complete the survey below if you are an adult. One survey from each household please.

Create your free online surveys with SurveyMonkey, the world's leading questionnaire tool.

Thanks,

Miss Ellis

Hi Class,
We have two full days of school left before our class assembly. If you are speaking make sure you try your best to learn your words and practise them with a clear and loud (but not shouting) voice. The children that are speaking during Maui and the Fire will not have a microphone so will need to fill the whole hall with their voice. The assembly announcers will have a microphone to use and won’t need to speak so loudly.
Costumes:

Villages - Kapa haka group have kindly lent us their skirts and dresses. Boys you will need black shorts.
Maui – black shorts, t-shirt or singlet with kapa haka skirts if we have enough.
Mahuaka – red clothes as much body covered in red as possible
Ruamoko – god of earthquakes (let me know if you need help and suggestions)
Tawhere-Matea – god of wind (let me know if you need help and suggestions)
Please bring your costume to school on Thursday for dress rehearsal.
Much thanks,
Miss Ellis

Hi Class,

I hope you all had a great weekend. We have a busy week at school ahead. Please keep practising the quiz-a-thon questions and collecting sponsors. On Friday we will do our quiz and then our buddy class are going to visit so we can help them to the quiz.

I have tried again this morning to upload our dance videos and have not been able to do this. Miss Bryant can hopefully help this week.

See you all in class soon.

Miss Ellis

Dear Team,

Your very clever teacher is about to try and upload the video filmed while you were preparing your dance today. If it works I will be very pleased with myself, and if it does not... please smile very sweetly at Miss Bryant tomorrow because I will be saying, "HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!"

Right here goes....

!!!!!!

Oh dear, no such luck today. I will ask Miss Bryant to help.

See you all tomorrow.

Miss Ellis

Dear Team 26,

Term 1 was a busy and successful term for the children of Room 26. We are now looking ahead to term 2. Our term 2 topic is CREATIVITY and we will be learning about and making MASKS. We will also be learning CREATIVE DANCE and producing something very special to share at assembly on the 1st of July. In Writing and Reading we are learning about TRADITIONAL TALES with a focus on Maori Legends and tales from all around the world. We start this term learning about GEOMETRY and then moving onto NUMBER Knowledge and Strategy. A very exciting term head!!

A little note to the children about commenting on the work of others on this Wiki space....

If you really enjoyed reading someones work then try to think of two or even three reasons why you like it and include this in your comment. If you can clearly think of a way that someone could improve their work then let them know, afterall they are writing it for you to read. It is best to always finish with a positive comment.

Here is an example:

Bob, I really like your wiki space comment about the sea creatures because you wrote using clear sentences that I could easily read. I did notice that you used the word 'of' when you meant to use 'off'. An example of 'Of' would be the University of Auckland and off is when something goes off or is turned off.

Remember kids you have a chance to help your classmates so the more specific they are the better.

Good luck with your comments. Oh, one last thing... Mrs Bryant has shared this awesome link to many educational sites for you to have a look at. Here it is: http://rm13brainwaves.wikispaces.com/WEBSITES

See you all at school on Monday.

Miss Ellis
